Mentorship

Eight weeks from conviction to evidence.

A one-on-one program for traders who are done guessing. Not signals, not a strategy to copy, the research discipline itself: how to test what you believe, kill what fails, size what survives, and run it without bleeding through operational cracks.

01 Weeks 1–2

Deprogramming

Why your current approach feels like it works, and how to test whether it does. You'll run your own beliefs through the same universe-wide validation that retired one of mine. Most mentees lose a favorite setup here. That's the point.

02 Weeks 3–4

Statistical foundations

Expectancy, R-multiples, drawdown math, sample size, and the multiple-testing trap, taught from real research files, not textbook abstractions. You'll learn why a best-of-288 backtest is not the evidence it appears to be.

03 Weeks 5–6

Building your validation pipeline

A no-look-ahead backtest of one idea from your own trading, with pessimistic fills and real costs. You'll find and fix at least one bias in your own work, with a control run to prove the fix.

04 Weeks 7–8

Risk, deployment & the honest go/no-go

Position sizing from deflated numbers, kill-switch design, prop-firm rule alignment, and a written deployment gate for your system. You leave with a verdict you can defend, even if that verdict is 'not yet.'

This is for you if

  • You've traded discretionary long enough to know the results don't survive honest bookkeeping
  • You can commit ~6 hours a week and are willing to see a favorite setup fail a fair test
  • You want to own your pipeline (data, validation, risk code), not rent someone's signals
  • Basic scripting comfort (or willingness to learn): we automate, we don't click

This is not for you if

  • You want signals, a holy-grail indicator, or someone else's finished system
  • You need this month's rent from next month's trading
  • "It works, I've seen it work" is an argument you'd like to keep using
  • You're looking for excitement; good systematic trading is deliberately boring

The outcome

You leave with one idea of your own taken through the full pipeline (tested honestly, with a written verdict) plus the reusable machinery to do it again: your backtest engine, your validation checklist, your risk framework. If your idea fails its test, you'll know why, you'll have saved the account it would have burned, and you'll know exactly how to test the next one. That is the outcome that compounds.
